Sultana Projects' John Smith Trail Expeditions program offers guided canoe and kayak trips for teacher and adult groups on the newly established Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail.  Utilizing a traveling fleet of kayaks and canoes that is brought to a location of your choosing, the program encourages participants to examine the health of the Chesapeake by comparing and contrasting the modern Bay with the Chesapeake
that was explored by Captain John Smith in 1608.   Activities include paddling, water quality sampling, shoreline and marsh exploration and visiting sites of importance to local Native American communities.  The Expeditions program can accommodate groups of up to 20 adults/teachers.

Each summer Sultana Projects offers MSDE accredited teacher training seminars as part of the John Smith Trail Expeditions program.  Click on the link below to learn about our upcoming programs.
