Sultana
Projects offers a variety of land-based educational programs in history
and environmental science through our classroom outreach programs and
Chestertown-based shipyard and walking tours. Sultana Outreach programs
work well as a stand-alone educational experience or as part of Sultana
Projects’ Schooner Sultana and John Smith Trail Expeditions field
programs.Sultana also offers a wide variety of Chesapeake Bay-related
curriculum units and materials for use in the classroom. Developed in
conjunction with the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) and
actual classroom teachers, Sultana’s curriculum materials meet MSDE’s
voluntary guides for standards and content and are designed to be easily
integrated into a classroom setting.
